Topic: State of the St. Vrain Creek Watershed
Deb will present the 2022 annual report of the state of the watershed, discuss priorities, and the adaptive management process that has evolved over the past several years.
Deb Hummel is a passionate scientist focused on building resilience in Front Range watersheds and is delighted to work with the diverse communities throughout the area. She holds Master’s in Fisheries Biology and Management and Bachelor’s in Biology. Deb has worked in aquatics and resource management since 2013 and joined the Watershed Center in 2018. As River Program Manager, Deb works with diverse stakeholders across the region to build resilience in river corridors, implements river restoration and stewardship projects, and manages the river and riparian monitoring program. She brings curiosity, collaboration, and science to her position and enjoys working with the challenges and complexities of water in the west. In her free time, she loves to run, hike, fish, and ski- all while exploring the outdoors with her friends, family, and dog (aptly named Sturgeon).
